What is ComicTagger?
ComicTagger writes metadata into digital comic archives so issue details travel with the files. Use it to enter series names, issue numbers, publication details and creator credits, or to update tags across a collection. It supports ComicRack and ComicBookLover metadata formats, with a graphical editor and command-line tools for batch work.
The publisher documents Comic Vine lookup and cover-image matching to help identify issues. Treat these as assisted matching rather than a guarantee: alternate covers, duplicate editions and poorly named archives can produce ambiguous results. Current online-service compatibility has not been verified for this older release. Manual metadata editing does not require an online match.
This download is the publisher's stable 1.5.5 Windows AMD64 ZIP archive, released on November 26, 2022, not the newer 1.6.0 beta listed by Softonic. The publisher instructs users to extract the archive and run the application. CBZ has native full support; writing CBR archives requires additional RAR tools. The screenshot is the publisher's historical version 1.0 Windows interface, not a capture of version 1.5.5.
