What is DBeaver Community?
DBeaver Community puts SQL editing and table-data editing in one desktop database client. On a Mac, it offers a common workspace for databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server and SQLite. Use its SQL Editor for queries and its Data Editor to work with table data, with database-specific JDBC drivers providing the connection.
The download here is the Community 26.2.3 DMG for Apple Silicon (ARM64), not the Intel build. The publisher lists macOS 11 or later and includes an OpenJDK 25 runtime. Open the DMG and drag DBeaver into Applications; owners of Intel Macs need the separate x86_64 DMG from the publisher.
Bundled Java is not a substitute for the JDBC libraries required by a database driver. Some connections need additional driver downloads or manual library configuration. Community also differs from the commercial PRO editions: the task scheduler and Visual Query Builder are PRO features, not included in this download.
