What is Dupe Clear?
Dupe Clear helps you locate repeated files in folders and decide which copies to remove. Search filters such as file extension and modification date let you narrow the files being examined, while selection criteria help you mark duplicates for deletion. It is a free, open-source utility from antikmozib.
Version 3.1.0 adds searching within duplicate results, locking or unlocking result groups, and marking files by size or the number of alphanumeric characters. The download linked here is the publisher's Windows x64 setup program; the release also offers separate x86 installers and archive packages.
Large searches need patience: Softonic's description reports that scanning folders containing hundreds of files can take a long time. That is a third-party observation, not a timing result from our own testing. Review the selected files before deleting them; identifying duplicates does not decide which copy you need to keep.
