What is Duplicate File Finder Mini?
Duplicate File Finder Mini is TriSun Software's free Windows utility for finding large files that may be duplicates. It scans files of 1 MB and above on hard disks and removable storage, groups matches by size and displays their names, paths, types and dates. You can save a result list, load it later, open a file's location or move selected files to the Recycle Bin or another folder. Options control hidden and system files and excluded folders.
Matching sizes do not prove matching contents: Mini does not compare file contents, names or modification dates. Review each candidate before removing anything, and avoid deleting system files; the publisher's default scan excludes the operating-system drive. The official page lists version 7.0 dated October 11, 2017 and compatibility badges for Windows 7, 8 and 10. Windows 11 compatibility and CPU architecture are not established by that page. The publisher's ZIP-labeled download link currently redirects to an EXE endpoint; only its headers were checked, not the installer or its behavior.
What it offers
- Group files of 1 MB and above by matching size, with size-sorted results and differently colored adjacent groups.
- Save and reload scan results for later review.
- Control scanning of hidden and system files and exclude system or special folders.
- Open file locations, view properties and copy a selected file's full path.
- Move selected files to the Recycle Bin or another folder, or delete them.
Good to know
- Size-only matching can group different files together; Mini does not establish identical file contents. Review candidates before deleting.
- Files smaller than the publisher's 1 MB threshold are not scanned.
- Deleting system files can break Windows or applications; do not treat every listed file as disposable.
- The latest update listed on the publisher page is from October 11, 2017. Windows 11 support and CPU architecture are not specified.
