What is EdgeTX Companion?
EdgeTX Companion puts model and radio configuration on your Windows computer. It is the desktop application for working with EdgeTX-compatible RC transmitters, rather than the firmware that runs on the transmitter itself. Use radio profiles to work with models and settings, and use its update tools to obtain firmware components.
The linked publisher package is the Windows 64-bit Companion 2.12.5 ZIP archive. It is separate from the radio firmware archive, SD card contents and sound packs. The screenshot comes from the official manual and shows Companion 2.8.0 on Windows; it illustrates the model-list workflow, not the exact appearance of 2.12.5.
Existing OpenTX backups need care: 2.12.5 cannot open or convert old .otx Companion files; the publisher directs that task to Companion 2.10 or earlier. The 2.12.5 notes also ask users to double-check profile reads, writes and model copying after backend changes. Keep backups before firmware updates and follow the publisher’s bench-test guidance before using an updated radio.
