What is ElegooSlicer?
ElegooSlicer prepares 3D models for FDM printers. On Mac, it provides a slicing workflow with model import, scaling and positioning, adjustable layer height, print speed and infill, and print previews. The project is based on OrcaSlicer and supports a range of FDM printers rather than being a resin-printing tool.
Version 1.5.3.5 adds a build-plate selector and a physical connection option for Neptune 3-series and earlier printers. The publisher warns that, when first using build-plate selection, you should check the filament’s first-layer temperature to avoid print failures. Settings still need to match your printer, filament and plate.
The linked DMG is the Apple Silicon arm64 package. The publisher also lists a separate Intel x86_64 DMG; both are part of the same Mac application. No installation or print test was performed for this entry.
What it offers
- Import, scale and position 3D models before slicing.
- Adjust layer height, print speed and infill density, and preview prints.
- Select a build-plate type for slicing in version 1.5.3.5.
- Use the physical connection option added for Neptune 3-series and earlier printers.
Good to know
- When first using build-plate selection, check the filament’s first-layer temperature; the publisher warns that an unsuitable value can cause print failures.
- The linked arm64 DMG is for Apple Silicon; Intel Macs need the separate x86_64 package.
