What is Engineering Power Tools?
Engineering Power Tools brings engineering calculators and reference tables into a Windows desktop application. The Standard Edition includes tools for unit conversion, triangle solutions, power and torque, beam stress and deflection, Ohm's law and material properties. It is useful when you need a focused calculation or a reference value rather than a general-purpose spreadsheet.
Choose a module for the problem you are working on, enter the required inputs and use Calculate or Solve where the form provides that button. The publisher's beam screenshot shows span, load, moment of inertia, section modulus and elasticity inputs alongside calculated deflection and maximum stress, with choices for beam support and load type. These are publisher-demonstrated controls, not results independently tested by SoftGalaxy.
Check the edition before relying on a particular module. The publisher's comparison table reserves tools such as duct sizing, fluid flow in pipes, gear calculations and voltage drop for Plus Edition. Although the download page says Standard calculations are fully functional, the registration terms limit unregistered use to a 30-day evaluation. Standard registration also enables printing and saving or restoring user data.
The linked file is the publisher's Standard Edition EXE. Its download page labels both editions 2.0.5 and lists Windows XP through Windows 11, but this does not establish the build inside the Standard installer. Discovery evidence reported an older package timestamp and a different third-party version. No installer was downloaded or run, so the installer build and actual Windows compatibility remain unconfirmed.
What it offers
- Use Standard Edition tools for unit conversion, engineering constants and triangle solutions.
- Calculate beam stress and deflection, power and torque, and torsional deflection of shafts.
- Consult material properties, pipe data and structural shape tables.
- Work with Ohm's law calculations, motor ratings and copper or aluminum wire tables.
- Access additional modules with a Plus Edition license; the publisher provides an edition-by-edition comparison.
Good to know
- Unregistered use is a 30-day evaluation; continued use requires paid registration. Printing and saving or restoring user files require Standard registration.
- The Standard download does not include every advertised module. Duct sizing, fluid flow in pipes, gear calculations and voltage drop are listed as Plus-only.
- The publisher lists Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10 and 11, but compatibility was not tested. The selected installer's internal version and CPU architecture were not verified.
