What is fldigi?
fldigi turns sound-card audio into a digital-mode modem for amateur-radio work. It supports modes including CW, PSK, MFSK, RTTY, Hell, DominoEX, Olivia and Throb, giving radio operators one application for several types of on-air text communication. It also includes tools for calibrating a sound card against a time signal and making frequency measurements.
The computer is only part of the station: fldigi uses sound-card audio and works with an external radio transceiver. Audio routing and radio-control connections need configuring for the equipment in use; installing the program does not replace that hardware or setup.
This entry links to the publisher-hosted fldigi 4.2.13 Windows EXE installer. Softonic still describes an older 4.1.06 release, and its gallery screenshots illustrate an earlier interface rather than establishing the appearance of 4.2.13. Minimum supported Windows version and processor architecture were not confirmed for the selected package.
