What is FTP Disk?
FTP Disk helps you update a website or move files between your Windows computer and an FTP server. Its two-pane interface shows local and remote files together. Save a server with a destination path, then drag files onto that server entry to upload them without browsing to the same folder each time. Multiple server entries and favorite paths suit repeated updates to different sites or directories.
You can also browse remote folders, upload and download files, edit remote text, preview pictures and change file permissions or ownership. A directory bar provides shortcuts through the current path, while the connection log records commands and server responses for investigating transfer errors. The publisher lists FTP and FTPS support.
This is commercial, try-before-buy software rather than freeware. The linked Windows package is the publisher’s 64-bit EXE, with Windows 10 build 1903 or later listed as the minimum requirement. The publisher-provided screenshot illustrates an older Windows interface; it is not evidence of the exact appearance of version 1.5.5.
What it offers
- Upload files by dragging them onto saved server entries with configured destination paths.
- View local and remote files side by side and run multiple uploads.
- Connect using FTP or FTPS.
- Edit remote text files and preview remote pictures within the application.
- Manage favorite folders, file permissions and ownership, with a detailed connection log.
Good to know
- Commercial try-before-buy software; a paid license is required beyond evaluation.
- The selected download is a 64-bit Windows package requiring Windows 10 build 1903 or later; it is not an installer for older Windows systems.
