What is GanttProject?
GanttProject helps turn a project into a dated task plan. Organize work into a hierarchy, connect dependent tasks and use milestones to mark delivery points. A Gantt chart puts the schedule alongside the task table, while resource assignments and load charts help you check who is allocated to the work. Projects can stay in local files for offline use.
It suits individuals and small teams planning work in days or weeks. Export a plan to PDF, HTML, PNG or CSV when other people need a copy, or exchange supported Microsoft Project files: GanttProject imports MPX, MPP and XML/MSPDI, but exports Microsoft Project data as XML/MSPDI rather than MPP.
The linked package is GanttProject 3.3.3316 for Apple Silicon Macs, with Java Runtime included. Intel Macs need the separate Intel disk image. The publisher also lists a 3.3.3320 maintenance update through the application's Update Channel; this linked installer is not that update. GanttProject 3.4 is listed separately as a beta, not the stable package selected here.
The desktop application is free and open source. GanttProject Cloud is an optional paid collaboration service, not a requirement for local scheduling. GanttProject is not designed for hour-by-hour or minute-by-minute task planning, nor for a large portfolio of interdependent enterprise projects. - The linked disk image is for Apple Silicon; Intel Macs require a different package.
