What is Grisbi?

Grisbi is a single-entry accounting application for organizing account transactions. Its publisher describes support for multiple currencies, transaction grouping by payee or category, and reports. Customizable transaction lists, trees and tabs let you adjust how the accounts are displayed.

The selected Grisbi 3.92.0 disk image is the ARM64 build for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 15 Sequoia or later. The same publisher catalog offers a separate Intel build; this download is not a universal disk image. The catalog also warns of Gatekeeper issues. No installer was downloaded or run, and neither installation nor the suggested quarantine workaround has been tested here.

The screenshot is the publisher’s historical Grisbi 0.8.9 interface, showing a transaction register and entry form. It illustrates the application’s accounting layout, not the appearance of the current macOS build.

What it offers

  • Single-entry accounting with support for multiple currencies.
  • Group transactions by payee or category.
  • Review account information using reports.
  • Customize transaction lists, trees and tabs.

Good to know

  • The selected ARM64 disk image requires Apple Silicon and macOS 15 Sequoia or later; Intel Macs need the separate x86_64 package.
  • The publisher warns of Gatekeeper issues. Installation and its suggested quarantine workaround have not been tested here.
  • The included screenshot is from Grisbi 0.8.9, not a current macOS 3.92.0 capture.
