What is HelpNDoc?
HelpNDoc is a Windows help-authoring tool for creating user manuals, software help and other structured documentation. Its table-of-contents editor organizes topics, while the built-in word processor handles formatted text, images and links. A project library lets you reuse content across topics.
The same project can generate several output formats, including responsive HTML documentation, CHM help files, PDF and Word documents, ePub and Kindle eBooks, Markdown and Qt Help. Some outputs require additional tools: the publisher lists Microsoft HTML Help Workshop for CHM, KindleGen for Kindle and the Qt Framework for Qt Help.
The linked installer is HelpNDoc Personal Edition. It has no time limit for personal non-commercial work and evaluation, but it cannot be used for profit. Generated documentation includes a banner, and some features require a paid edition. The publisher recommends Windows 10 or 11 and Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime. The gallery image shows an older HelpNDoc interface, not a confirmed screenshot of the linked version.
