What is Insomnia?
Insomnia is an API client for developers working with REST, GraphQL, gRPC, WebSockets and Server-Sent Events. Keep requests in collections, inspect returned data and use the OpenAPI editor with a visual preview when designing an API. Native test suites and the collection runner support repeatable API checks.
Storage and account choices matter. The publisher offers Local Vault, Git Sync and Cloud Sync for project resources, while the local Scratch Pad can be used without signing in. The free Essentials plan limits Git Sync projects to three users; larger Git Sync teams and enterprise controls require paid plans.
