What is IOBend?
IOBend brings environment diagnostics, project scaffolding and container tasks into a command-line workspace. Developers can use its doctor command to check project dependencies and configuration, generate a project from a template, or work with containers through a common command interface. This entry links to the publisher's Windows x64 MSI for version 2.6.4, not the separate VS Code extension or cloud dashboard.
Container commands still need an available container engine such as Docker or Podman; IOBend does not replace that runtime. Cloud-provider integrations require authentication with the relevant provider. The publisher supplies a Windows PowerShell screenshot of CLI v2.0 help, so the pictured commands and layout are historical rather than a capture of version 2.6.4.
What it offers
- Check development-environment dependencies and configuration with iobend doctor.
- Generate project scaffolding from templates, including a documented Node.js and Docker example.
- Build, start, stop and inspect containers through the container command interface.
- Manage authentication for supported cloud providers through CLI commands.
Good to know
- Container workflows require a running container engine such as Docker or Podman.
- Cloud integrations require provider authentication; the Windows CLI download is separate from IOBend's cloud and IDE interfaces.
- The publisher's screenshot shows CLI v2.0 help, not the linked 2.6.4 release.
