What is iStat Menus?
iStat Menus puts system readings in the Mac menu bar so you can check resource use without keeping a separate monitoring window open. Expand its menus for per-core CPU graphs, memory pressure and swap, disk activity, network bandwidth and lists of resource-heavy apps. You can choose which readings appear, adjust their colors and order, or combine several items into one menu bar entry.
It also covers battery levels, hardware sensors, world clocks and weather. Rules can notify you when conditions such as low disk space, sustained CPU use or a lost internet connection occur. Fan controls can respond to temperature and battery state.
The publisher lists version 7.5 for macOS 13.5 or later. This is commercial software with a 14-day trial, not a permanently free utility. Available GPU and sensor readings depend on the Mac; the publisher qualifies several measurements as supported-hardware features. Licenses include six months of weather rather than an unlimited weather entitlement.
