What is jadx?
jadx turns Android Dalvik bytecode into Java code for inspection. Its graphical interface lets you browse classes, follow declarations, find usages and search text when you need to understand an application's structure. It also decodes AndroidManifest.xml and resources.arsc, so code and Android resources can be examined with the same tool.
The selected download is jadx-gui 1.5.6 for Windows with a bundled JRE. The publisher instructs Windows users to unpack the bundle and run its jadx-gui executable; a separate Java installation is not required for this with-jre package. The smaller Windows bundle instead uses an installed Java runtime, while a separate cross-platform archive provides both command-line and graphical launchers. The publisher specifies 64-bit Java 11 or later for packages without a bundled runtime.
Decompiled output is not guaranteed to reconstruct every method correctly. The publisher explicitly warns that jadx usually cannot decompile 100 percent of the code and that errors will occur. Treat the Java view as an analysis aid, not a guaranteed copy of the original source. The screenshot is the publisher's example interface, not a test of this release.

Good to know
- The publisher warns that decompilation is not complete or error-free; some code will not reconstruct correctly.
- This selected Windows bundle contains the GUI; the publisher distributes the command-line tool in a separate cross-platform archive.
