What is KLog?
KLog records amateur-radio contacts and supports general-purpose DX logging. Its contact-entry fields, log table and QSL-related controls keep station details and contact records in one application. The Windows download here is the publisher's 64-bit EXE installer for version 2.6.
Version 2.6 adds a DX Assistant that ranks DXCluster and WSJT-X spots against your own log. Band and spotter-continent filters, spot-age limits and per-session hiding help narrow the list. It also supports importing several ADI files in one operation and counts submodes separately in contact statistics.
WSJT-X decoded spots depend on the separate WSJT-X application and its UDP connection; they are not a built-in radio decoder. Award and DXCC status counters still group contacts by mode rather than submode. The publisher screenshot below illustrates an older macOS edition of KLog, not the appearance of the Windows 2.6 release.
What it offers
- Record ham-radio contacts with callsign, band, mode and signal-report fields.
- Prioritize DXCluster and WSJT-X spots against your log in the DX Assistant.
- Filter DX Assistant spots by band, spotter continent and age, or hide spots for the current session.
- Import multiple ADI contact-log files in one operation.
- View contact statistics that distinguish submodes such as FT4 and USB.
Good to know
- WSJT-X decoded spots require the separate WSJT-X application and a configured UDP connection.
- Award and DXCC status counters continue to group by mode even though contact statistics distinguish submodes.
