What is Ksnip?

Ksnip captures screenshots and adds visual explanations before you share them. On Windows, you can select a rectangular area, reuse the last selection, capture the active window or take a full-screen shot across monitors. A capture delay gives you time to prepare the screen.

The editor combines drawing tools, text, numbered markers and shapes with cropping, blur and pixelation. You can also open an existing image or paste one from the clipboard, then copy, print or save the result. Global capture hotkeys and tabs support working with several screenshots.

This download is the publisher’s version 1.10.1 MSI installer, rather than a continuous development build. OCR is not included as a built-in ready-to-use feature: it needs a separate compatible plugin. The publisher also documents possible capture-area positioning errors on high-DPI screens, with a configurable position or offset as a workaround.
