What is lessmsi?
lessmsi is a Windows utility for inspecting and extracting Windows Installer (.msi) packages. Its graphical interface lists the files in a package, while the table viewer exposes the installer's internal database tables. It is useful when you need to inspect an MSI's contents or extract files from it.
The command-line interface provides an alternative for scripted extraction, using lessmsi x followed by the MSI path and an optional output directory. Optional Windows Explorer integration adds an Extract Files context-menu action; enable or disable it through Edit > Preferences. The linked publisher release is a ZIP archive: extract all its files into one directory before running lessmsi.exe. The screenshot is the publisher's historical interface illustration, not a newly captured image of version 2.12.9.
