What is Minitab Statistical Software?
Minitab Statistical Software helps analysts and quality teams examine data, compare groups and investigate process variation. Its statistical tools cover descriptive statistics, hypothesis tests, regression, analysis of variance and design of experiments. Graph Builder and charts such as histograms, scatterplots and control charts help present patterns alongside numerical results.
The Assistant groups workflows for tasks including capability analysis, measurement systems analysis, regression and control charts. This makes the application relevant to quality improvement and experimental work rather than just producing presentation graphics.
This entry links to the Windows x64 mass deployment ZIP exposed by Minitab's product download catalog. It is a deployment package, not a standalone one-click installer or a license entitlement. The catalog filename identifies 22.6.0.0, while the publisher's system-requirements page still names Desktop 22.5; confirm the requirements for your licensed release before deployment. That requirements page lists Windows 11, an x86-64 processor, no ARM support and internet access for trial and single-user activation.
Minitab is commercial software with subscription plans and a trial offer. No trial duration is asserted here. The gallery images show an older Spanish-language Windows interface from Softonic's legacy Minitab listing; they illustrate the application and are not previews of the linked 22.6 package.
What it offers
- Calculate descriptive statistics and run hypothesis tests, including one- and two-sample t-tests.
- Fit regression models and use analysis of variance to examine relationships and compare groups.
- Build histograms, scatterplots, boxplots and other visualizations with graphing tools.
- Investigate process capability, measurement systems and control charts for quality improvement.
- Use design-of-experiments tools and Assistant workflows for supported statistical tasks.
Good to know
- Commercial licensing applies; obtaining the deployment ZIP does not provide a free license. Trial and single-user activation require internet access.
- The selected download is a mass deployment ZIP, not a standalone one-click installer.
- The requirements page explicitly covers Desktop 22.5 and lists Windows 11 with an x86-64 processor, excluding ARM; the catalog now exposes a 22.6.0.0 package, so release-specific requirements need confirmation.
- Screenshots depict a legacy Spanish-language Windows interface, not the current package's appearance.
