What is Money Manager Ex?
Money Manager Ex organizes personal finances around accounts, transactions, payees and categories. Record income and expenses, transfer money between accounts, and compare spending against monthly or annual budgets. CSV and QIF import can bring existing records into the database, while reports and charts help review where money goes.
It is useful for keeping checking, savings, credit-card, investment and asset records together. Scheduled bills and deposits help track recurring transactions, and accounts can use different currencies. Financial records live in a SQLite database; an encrypted database is an option. Back up your database before upgrading, as the publisher recommends.
This download is the publisher's universal macOS DMG for version 1.9.4. Read the release warning before relying on filtered totals: the publisher reports a balance-calculation issue when date-range filters are used and suggests reverting to 1.9.3 if affected. The documentation screenshots illustrate an older Windows interface, not a tested Mac installation or the appearance of this release.

Good to know
- Version 1.9.4 has a publisher-documented balance-calculation bug with date-range filters; the release notes suggest reverting to 1.9.3 if affected.
- macOS 10.12 through 10.15 require the older 1.9.0 release; macOS 10.10 and 10.11 require 1.6.1. The linked 1.9.4 package is not for those systems.
