What is Moneydance?

Moneydance is a personal finance manager for keeping account registers, budgets and investments together on a Mac. Its Summary view brings together account balances, upcoming and overdue transactions, reminders and exchange-rate information. Open an account from that overview to work in its register or reconcile it against a statement.

The register supports entering, editing and deleting transactions, with automatic balance calculations and payee auto-completion. For a broader view, income and expense graphs can be filtered by date range, printed or saved as PNG images. Investment tools cover holdings such as stocks, bonds and mutual funds, while multi-currency support helps organize finances that are not all in one currency.

Online transaction downloads and bill payments are offered for supported financial institutions; do not assume that a particular bank is covered. Single and recurring transaction reminders provide another way to track scheduled payments.

This is commercial desktop software, not an unrestricted free finance app. The publisher's trial is limited to 100 manually entered transactions. The linked Mac package is the publisher's DMG disk image. Its exact version, minimum macOS release and processor requirements were not established from the product page, so those details are not asserted here. The screenshot is the publisher's sample-data illustration, not evidence of a newly installed or tested release.
