What is NanoVNASaver?
NanoVNASaver brings measurements from compatible NanoVNA hardware onto a computer for plotting, comparison and file export. It suits inspecting antenna, cable and filter measurements with Smith, magnitude, phase and VSWR charts rather than relying only on the instrument display. Markers provide readings such as impedance and VSWR at selected frequencies.
Segmented sweeps collect more than 101 data points across a frequency span. You can compare an active trace with a reference, import or export one-port and two-port Touchstone files, and use TDR and filter-analysis tools. New device measurements require compatible hardware connected through a serial port; the publisher also warns that an uncalibrated device can produce readings outside the range the application accepts.
The linked Windows download is the publisher’s version 0.7.3 x64 ZIP package. The screenshot is the publisher’s historical Windows interface image, labelled version 0.1.4; it illustrates the chart layout, not the exact appearance of version 0.7.3.
What it offers
- View S11 and S21 measurements with Smith, magnitude, phase and VSWR charts and frequency markers.
- Split frequency spans into segmented sweeps to collect more than 101 data points.
- Import and export one-port and two-port Touchstone files.
- Compare active and reference traces and export plotted images.
- Use time-domain reflectometry, filter analysis and in-application calibration tools.
Good to know
- Capturing new measurements requires compatible NanoVNA hardware and a serial-port connection.
- The instrument needs a reasonable calibration state; completely uncalibrated readings may be outside the application’s accepted range.
