What is NetLogo?
NetLogo is a desktop environment for modeling how individual agents interact and produce larger patterns. Students, teachers and researchers can open a model from the Models Library, change its parameters and watch the results, or write their own agent behavior in NetLogo's Logo-based language.
The Interface tab combines a model view with controls such as buttons, sliders and switches. Plots and monitors expose changing values, while the Command Center lets you inspect or manipulate agents directly. BehaviorSpace runs a model repeatedly with different settings to collect results.
This entry links to the NetLogo 7.0.4 disk image for Intel Macs; the publisher lists a separate Apple Silicon package. NetLogo 7 saves models in the .nlogox or .nlogox3d format, which older NetLogo versions cannot open. Existing .nlogo and .nlogo3d models can be opened and converted, so consider file compatibility before sharing a newly saved model with someone using an older release.
