What is Obsidian?
Obsidian for Mac helps you build a personal knowledge base from notes stored on your own device. It suits research notes, journals and project reference material that you want to read offline and connect over time. Links let you move between related notes, while the graph offers a visual view of those relationships. Plugins and themes let you adapt the workspace to your preferred way of writing and organizing.
The core app is free for personal, commercial and nonprofit use, without an account. Obsidian Sync and Obsidian Publish are separate paid services: the free download does not include those subscriptions. The publisher uses open file formats so your notes are not confined to a single app.
