What is OCCT?
OCCT helps investigate PC instability by applying workloads to individual components or combinations of them. Its CPU + RAM, CPU, memory, 3D Adaptive and VRAM tests cover different parts of a system, while real-time monitoring shows temperatures, voltages and fan speeds. CPU and memory benchmarks provide a separate way to measure performance.
Choose a test for the component you want to examine rather than treating every workload as interchangeable. The CPU test generates substantial heat; the Power test loads both CPU and GPU and can trigger power-supply protection on an undersized unit. The memory test runs within the operating system and cannot check memory reserved by Windows.
OCCT Personal is free for personal, noncommercial use, not business diagnostics. Free tests are limited to one hour with a cooldown between tests; unlimited duration, test reports and stability certificates are Supporter benefits. Commercial use requires an appropriate professional license. The linked publisher endpoint supplies the Windows Personal executable; the publisher listed version 17.1.10 when checked. The screenshot shows the older Personal 13.0.0 interface on its stability-certificate screen, not a claim that this paid feature is included in the free edition.

Good to know

- The memory test cannot test memory reserved for the operating system.
- Stress workloads generate substantial heat; the Power test can trigger protection and an abrupt black screen on an undersized power supply.
