What is ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors?
ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors brings document writing, spreadsheet work, presentations and PDF editing into one desktop application. It opens and edits DOCX, XLSX and PPTX files, alongside formats such as ODT, ODS and CSV. Local files can be edited without a constant internet connection, making it useful for drafting a report, updating a budget or preparing slides without moving everything into cloud storage.
Files can open in tabs or separate windows. The suite also supports PDF forms, password protection and digital signatures. Connecting a supported service such as ONLYOFFICE, Nextcloud, ownCloud or Dropbox adds access to cloud files and real-time collaboration. Collaboration requires that connection and an account with the selected service; it is not an offline feature.
The download linked here is the full Windows x64 EXE installer, not the smaller online installer or the separate ARM64 and x86 packages. The free Community edition is licensed under AGPLv3. Its optional AI Tools add-on is installed separately, so AI controls shown in publisher screenshots are not proof that the add-on is included in the standard package.
