What is Open Contacts?
Open Contacts is a Windows address book for keeping personal and business contact details together. Separate records for people and organizations can be linked to show relationships, while custom fields and sections let you store details beyond a fixed name-and-phone form. Categories and searches help find contacts across the stored fields.
The publisher lists imports from sources including Outlook, CSV, Windows Contacts and vCard, plus exports to CSV, Excel, vCard and other formats. It also describes printing contact details and labels, running from external storage, and client/server sharing on a local network.
This entry links to the publisher-listed standard ZIP package labeled 6.2.1.640, not Softonic’s separately listed 6.2.1.740. The publisher names Windows XP/2003, Vista, 7 and 8; Windows 10/11 compatibility and current maintenance are not established by these sources. Smartphone synchronization uses the companion SyncML client and a SyncML server, rather than a documented direct connection to every current phone service.
