What is PdfGrabber?
PdfGrabber is a desktop PDF converter for reusing documents in other applications. It exports PDF content to Word, Excel and PowerPoint, converts vector drawings for CAD work, and can extract embedded images or turn entire pages into image files. Adobe Acrobat is not required for conversion.
The available formats depend on the license edition. Home covers Word and plain text; Standard adds Excel, HTML, ePub and image output. Professional offers the broader format set and automation through export profiles, watched folders and command-line control. Choose an edition by the output you actually need rather than assuming every license includes the full converter.
The linked download is the publisher’s 64-bit Windows EXE for version 9.0.0.16. It starts as the Professional trial and can be activated with a purchased license. Trial output is intentionally restricted: text receives random X characters, graphics are watermarked and CAD drawings are only two-thirds exported. These limits make it an evaluation tool, not a free route to unrestricted document conversion.
What it offers
- Convert PDF content into Office formats including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, depending on edition.
- Export vector drawings to CAD formats including DXF/AutoCAD.
- Extract images from PDFs or convert complete pages into image files.
- Export documents as HTML or ePub in supported editions.
- Use Professional export profiles, watched folders and command-line automation.
Good to know
- The trial inserts random X characters into exported text, watermarks graphics and images, and exports only two-thirds of CAD drawings. A paid license is needed to remove these restrictions.
- Home and Standard have narrower output-format support than Professional; CAD and PowerPoint are not included in the listed Home or Standard format sets.
- Right-to-left languages such as Arabic, Farsi and Hebrew are not fully supported.
