What is ProjectLibre?
ProjectLibre Desktop helps an individual project manager build and maintain a project schedule locally. Define tasks and dependencies, use calendars and milestones, and inspect the plan through Gantt charts, work breakdown structures and network diagrams. Baselines and critical-path views help you compare the schedule and identify the tasks that determine its duration.
Resources, assignments, rates and costs are managed within an individual project, with earned-value tools for tracking its progress. The publisher also documents opening Microsoft Project files, making Desktop an option for continuing work on an existing schedule without a Microsoft Project subscription. This entry links to the Windows MSI package for version 1.9.8.
Desktop is not the same product as ProjectLibre Cloud. The publisher positions Desktop for single-user, local project files; real-time collaboration, shared enterprise resource pools, portfolio management and AI Co-Pilot belong to the separate Cloud offering. Choose the desktop application for individual scheduling rather than expecting those team services in the free installer.

Good to know
- Desktop is intended for a single user managing individual local projects; real-time collaboration, shared enterprise resource pools, portfolio management and AI Co-Pilot are part of the separate Cloud offering.
- The release notes direct 32-bit Windows users to version 1.7 or alternative 1.9.8 packages rather than this MSI.
