What is qBittorrent?

qBittorrent downloads and shares files over BitTorrent. Its desktop interface brings transfers, queues and file priorities together, so you can choose which files in a torrent to download and control when transfers use bandwidth. Magnet links, RSS feeds with download filters and a torrent creation tool are included. A Web UI provides remote control.

The publisher currently lists version 5.2.3 for macOS 13 or later, with a DMG using Qt6 and libtorrent 1.2.x. This entry links to that standard DMG, not the separate libtorrent 2.0.x variant or the newer releases listed for other platforms.

Mac support is an important limitation: the publisher says the macOS version is barely supported because there are no active macOS developers or contributors. The accompanying publisher screenshot shows the older Linux 4.6.4 interface for reference; it is not a capture of the current Mac release.
