What is Redis Insight?
Redis Insight gives Mac developers a graphical workspace for exploring and changing data in Redis databases. Browse and filter keys, inspect values in readable formats, and create, edit or delete supported data types without switching between separate tools. Workbench provides a command editor with intelligent completion and result visualizations, while the built-in CLI and command helper suit direct Redis commands.
For troubleshooting, the profiler shows commands sent to Redis, Slow Log displays operations captured by the server, and database analysis reports on data types and memory use. Analysis is not a full scan of arbitrarily large datasets: the tool analyzes up to 10,000 keys and attempts extrapolation beyond that limit. A database user connected with a username and password must be allowed to run INFO.
The linked version 3.8.0 DMG is for Apple silicon Macs; the publisher offers a separate Intel build. Published desktop requirements list macOS 10.15 and macOS 11 through 15. Redis Insight is free to download under the SSPL license. Redis Copilot is optional and requires sign-in plus acceptance of its terms before use.
