What is Redis Insight?

Redis Insight gives developers a graphical workspace for exploring and managing Redis databases. Browse keys by name or data type, inspect JSON and other values, and create, update or delete supported data structures without switching to a separate command-line client. The built-in CLI and Workbench also let you run Redis commands with help and auto-completion.

For troubleshooting, the database analyzer shows memory allocation and key distribution, while Slow Log and the command profiler help investigate operations. A dedicated Search workspace supports index management and query building; Streams and Pub/Sub tools handle message-oriented workflows.

This entry links to the publisher’s Redis Insight 3.8.0 Windows EXE installer, released on July 21, 2026. The publisher lists Windows 10 and Windows 11 as supported. It is a client for connecting to Redis databases, not a replacement for the database service. Database analysis inspects up to 10,000 keys and extrapolates when more are present, so large-database reports are not an exhaustive inspection of every key. Redis Copilot requires sign-in and acceptance of its terms before use.

What it offers

  • Browse, filter and edit Redis keys, including JSON, lists, hashes, sets, sorted sets and streams.
  • Run Redis commands through the built-in CLI and Workbench with command help and auto-completion.
  • Inspect memory usage and key distribution with database analysis, and investigate operations with Slow Log and the profiler.
  • Create search indexes and build queries in the dedicated Search workspace.
  • Manage stream entries and consumer groups, and publish or consume Pub/Sub messages.

Good to know

  • Database analysis inspects at most 10,000 keys; larger databases use extrapolation.
  • Redis Copilot requires sign-in and acceptance of its terms of use.
  • A database user added with username and password must be allowed to run the INFO command.
