What is Sioyek?

Sioyek is a PDF viewer for studying research papers and technical books. Its reference overview lets you inspect a cited figure, equation or bibliography entry without leaving the paragraph you are reading. Portals keep related material visible in a second window, while searchable bookmarks and colored highlights help you return to important passages.

The interface emphasizes keyboard commands. A searchable command menu exposes available actions and their shortcuts, and keybindings can be changed in configuration files. SyncTeX support connects PDF locations with LaTeX source when configured with an editor.

Automatic reference lookup is an attempt, not a guarantee: a reference without an embedded PDF link may not resolve to the intended destination. The scrollbar is also hidden by default, though it can be enabled with toggle_scrollbar.
