What is SoftMaker Office?
SoftMaker Office combines three desktop applications: TextMaker for documents, PlanMaker for spreadsheets and charts, and Presentations for slide decks. It suits Mac users who exchange Word, Excel and PowerPoint files: DOCX, XLSX and PPTX are the suite’s default formats. TextMaker also exports PDF, PDF/A and EPUB files.
The linked macOS PKG is the publisher’s SoftMaker Office NX download, not the older 2024 release still listed by Softonic. NX is a paid subscription product with a 30-day trial; continuing after the trial requires a purchased product key. The publisher lists macOS 10.14 or later and native programs for Apple Silicon and Intel processors.
There are platform differences: the publisher marks BasicMaker macro programming as Windows-only. Do not choose the Mac edition expecting that Windows automation feature. The screenshot is a publisher-provided TextMaker interface reference showing Windows window controls, not a capture of the macOS edition.

- BasicMaker macro programming is marked Windows-only by the publisher; it is not a Mac feature.
