What is Solve Elec?
Solve Elec is an educational tool for drawing electrical circuits and examining how they behave in direct or alternating current. It can display symbolic formulas and numerical values for currents and voltages, check circuit equations, and produce graphs and equivalent circuits. This makes it useful when studying the relationship between a circuit diagram and its calculations.
Version 2.5 adds AC analysis, an oscilloscope, filter analysis, transfer functions and frequency-response graphs. Built-in documentation supports the analysis tools, while reports can combine elements from the main window for saving or printing. The screenshot shows an inverting amplifier alongside its solution formula and a voltage graph.
Treat Windows compatibility as a legacy specification: the source catalog lists Windows Vista, and operation on Windows 10 or 11 has not been verified. The download here uses the SourceForge-hosted Windows EXE because the publisher site exposes an HTTP package link and its HTTPS endpoint failed the connection check. A successful download-link check does not establish installer safety or modern Windows compatibility.
