What is SteerMouse?
SteerMouse gives Mac users separate controls for mouse buttons, wheels and cursor movement. Assign a keyboard shortcut, application switcher, Mission Control action or cursor-snapping command to a button, then use application-specific settings when the same mouse needs different behavior in different programs. Button combinations and modifier keys provide additional assignments without adding physical buttons.
For movement and scrolling, SteerMouse exposes sensitivity and acceleration adjustments, plus vertical, horizontal and hands-free scrolling options. It supports USB and Bluetooth mice, but not Apple's Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad; some special buttons may also be unsupported. Use the 30-day trial to check the controls you need on your own mouse before buying a license. SteerMouse 5 uses a paid lifetime license for that major version, with minor updates included and future major upgrades charged separately.
