What is Sublime Text?
Sublime Text is a text editor for working with source code, markup and writing on macOS. Its split views let you read related files together, while multiple selections let you edit repeated text in several places at once. Project-aware completion and side-by-side definition navigation help you move between symbols without abandoning the file you are editing.
The editor includes TypeScript, JSX and TSX support and native Apple Silicon support. The publisher's download page identifies this macOS release as Sublime Text 4, Build 4215, released September 25, 2026, with macOS 10.13 as the minimum supported version. The download linked here is the publisher's macOS ZIP archive. The gallery image illustrates the Mac editing interface; it is not evidence of the exact build pictured.
Sublime Text can be evaluated without an enforced time limit, but this is not a free license for continued use: the publisher requires a license purchase to keep using it.
What it offers
- Use Tab Multi-Select and split views to work with related files side by side.
- Edit repeated text at multiple selections in the same operation.
- Get completion suggestions based on existing code in the project, with links to symbol definitions.
- Browse definitions, references and project symbols in a side-by-side view.
- Work with built-in TypeScript, JSX and TSX language support.
Good to know
- Free evaluation does not cover continued use: a purchased license is required, even though the evaluation has no enforced time limit.
- This release requires macOS 10.13 or later; older macOS versions are outside its stated minimum requirement.
