What is Telegram?
Telegram for macOS brings personal chats, groups and channels to a native Mac application. Use it to continue cloud conversations from another device, send photos and documents, or keep up with a community from your computer. The native client also supports Secret Chats and integration with the Mac's Share menu.
This entry links to the publisher's standalone macOS download, not Telegram Lite, the separate multi-platform client. Telegram lists version 13.1.0 in its macOS version history, dated October 20, 2026. The download address is a rolling publisher link rather than a version-pinned file.
Cloud synchronization and end-to-end encryption are different modes here: ordinary cloud chats use client-server encryption, while Secret Chats use end-to-end encryption. Secret Chats do not sync through Telegram's cloud and are only accessible on the device where they started. Core messaging is free; Telegram also offers an optional Premium subscription for additional features.
