What is TerraForge3D?
TerraForge3D creates procedural landscapes and textures for use in 3D projects. Its terrain-generation tools combine node-based controls with manually placed features, while a separate shader-node editor controls surface appearance. A physically based renderer previews the result, and the texture baker exports textures from heightmaps or node outputs. The publisher lists mesh exports including OBJ, GLTF, GLB and STL, plus PNG and JPG heightmaps, so the generated terrain can be moved into other 3D tools.
This download is the Windows 64-bit ZIP archive for version 2.3, released on 29 March 2022, not the separate SDK package. It is an older release; compatibility with current Windows builds has not been verified here. The publisher says first launch downloads and caches additional resources, so the archive should not be assumed to provide a fully offline first run. GPU generation requires OpenCL 2.0 support; the documented CPU generation path is an alternative when that support is absent.
What it offers
- Shape procedural terrain with a node editor and manually placed terrain features.
- Build terrain materials in a shader-node editor and export shader setups as GLSL.
- Bake heightmaps or node outputs into textures, including tiled output.
- Preview terrain with a physically based renderer.
- Export meshes as OBJ, GLTF, GLB or STL and heightmaps as PNG or JPG.
Good to know
- The selected version 2.3 dates to March 2022; compatibility with current Windows builds has not been verified here.
- The publisher says first launch downloads and caches additional resources; a fully offline first run is not established.
- GPU terrain generation requires OpenCL 2.0 support; the publisher documents CPU generation as an alternative.
