What is Themida?
Themida is a commercial Windows software protector from Oreans Technologies. Developers use it to add protection to compiled applications rather than edit their source code. Its interface lets you select an input file, choose protection options and produce a protected output. Publisher-listed capabilities include virtual-machine emulation for selected code blocks, code mutation, encryption and anti-debugging techniques.
The protection tools also include SDK integration, command-line support and XBundler for embedding DLLs and data files. These are described capabilities, not an independent assessment of how resistant a protected application is to reverse engineering.
The linked ZIP is the public evaluation demo, listed by Oreans as version 3.2.4.0 dated September 8, 2025. The publisher’s product overview separately lists version 3.2.6.0 dated August 11, 2026; that is not the version assigned to this demo download. Commercial use requires the appropriate paid license: Oreans distinguishes a Developer License for a solo developer from a Company License for organizations with multiple software developers.
The gallery image is an older Themida x32 3.0.1.60 Application Information screen. It illustrates the application workflow, not the appearance of the current commercial release or a locally tested installation.
What it offers
- Apply virtual-machine emulation to selected code blocks and use code mutation and encryption options.
- Configure anti-debugging, anti-disassembly and memory-patching checks.
- Integrate with the protection layer through an SDK or use command-line support.
- Embed DLLs and data files with XBundler and customize warning or error dialogs.
Good to know
- The linked package is an evaluation demo, not the paid commercial release; the publisher lists demo version 3.2.4.0 separately from product version 3.2.6.0.
- Commercial licensing depends on the development team: the publisher requires a Company License for companies with more than one software developer.
