What is UWPHook?
UWPHook adds installed UWP apps and Xbox Game Pass games to Steam so you can launch them from the same library as your Steam games. Load the installed-app list, select the entries you want, adjust their displayed names if needed, and export the selection to Steam. Restart Steam if prompted to see the shortcuts.
Optional SteamGridDB integration can find grid artwork, icons and hero images for exported games. It requires a SteamGridDB API key, and the publisher says the automatic search chooses the first image matching your filters.
Adding a shortcut does not resolve every Steam integration limitation. The publisher documents problems with the Steam overlay for UWP games and states that UWPHook is not compatible with Steam Deck. Microsoft or Valve changes can also break the integration. Version 2.14.3 moves to .NET 8 and a single-file executable; its release notes describe an attempt to address Windows 11 24H2 errors, not a guarantee that every game will work.
