What is WinLicense?
WinLicense combines application protection with licensing tools for software developers. It provides configurable code-protection options alongside trial expiration rules, registration keys and machine binding. Its license manager keeps records of software, customers and licenses, while an SDK lets an application interact with its trial or registration state.
Trial rules can use days, execution counts, a specific date or runtime. Developers can generate trial-extension keys, customize registration messages and use hardware-dependent licensing. The publisher also lists code virtualization, encryption and debugger-detection features; these are product capabilities, not an independent guarantee against reverse engineering.
The linked ZIP is the publisher's evaluation demo, listed as version 3.2.4.0 dated September 8, 2025. The same product page separately lists version 3.2.6.0 dated August 11, 2026 in its overview, so that newer version is not attributed to this demo download. Commercial use requires the appropriate paid license: the publisher distinguishes a single-developer license from a company license for multiple developers. The illustrated Trial Settings screen is an older publisher screenshot showing version 3.0.1.72, not a capture of the linked demo.
What it offers
- Configure trial expiration by days, execution count, date or runtime.
- Generate registration keys and trial-extension keys, including machine-dependent licenses.
- Manage software, customer and license records in the license manager.
- Use the SDK to read trial and registration state from an application.
- Configure code virtualization, encryption and debugger-detection protection options.
Good to know
- The download is an evaluation demo, not the paid developer or company license.
- The publisher lists demo version 3.2.4.0 separately from overview version 3.2.6.0; the newer release is not verified for this ZIP.
- Companies with more than one software developer need the publisher's Company License rather than its Developer License.
