What is Wise Data Recovery?
Wise Data Recovery searches for deleted files on local drives, external drives, USB sticks and memory cards. It is intended for finding lost documents, photos, videos, audio and email files, including files removed from the Recycle Bin or lost after formatting. The publisher's guide describes selecting a drive or folder, scanning it, previewing found files and choosing what to recover. File-type categories and keyword filtering help narrow the search.
The free edition has a 2 GB recovery allowance; the publisher offers paid Pro plans for unlimited recovery. That allowance is not a guarantee that any particular file can be restored. The publisher recommends preparing its separate portable version on another computer and running it from a flash drive to reduce the risk of overwriting missing data. The download linked here is the Windows EXE installer, not that portable package.
