What is Ages!?
Ages! is Daubnet's Windows genealogy software for building a family tree around people, relationships and the evidence behind them. Its person window brings parents, spouses and children together, with tabs for facts, sources, notes and media. You can record predefined or custom events, attach family photographs and keep track of source repositories and library call numbers.
For sharing research, Ages! offers ancestor, descendant, hourglass, all-relatives and fan charts, plus customizable reports. Its search can locate alternative spellings and married surnames, while duplicate-record merging lets you choose which data to keep. A plausibility checker flags questionable information by creating research tasks; it is an aid to checking records, not proof that a family relationship is correct.
The publisher provides the same EXE for the trial and licensed editions. The trial has no time limit, but a newly created tree is limited to 50 people, output is watermarked and the plug-in interface is excluded. The publisher separately lists no people limit for existing family trees. Buying a license removes the trial restrictions while preserving entered data. The screenshot is an older person-window example retained in the publisher's current product tour, not a capture of a locally installed 2.4.0 build.
