What is WinPIM?
WinPIM combines a contact manager, calendar, task list, notes editor and email client in one Windows application. It suits keeping an address book alongside appointments and follow-up work rather than maintaining a separate tool for each. The publisher lists Windows 11, 10 and 8 for the classic WinPIM application; the separately advertised WinPIM Omni is a different product.
The calendar supports recurring and multi-day appointments, reminders and links to contacts. Tasks can also recur, while the notes editor supports HTML-formatted entries. The email client supports multiple accounts and POP3, SMTP and IMAP. These are publisher-described capabilities, not results of an installation or compatibility test.
Choose the edition by the functions you need. The Free edition includes the core organizer modules, but the publisher excludes features such as global search, attachments, subtasks and synchronization from that edition. Network data sharing and access-right controls require Business. The linked EXE is the publisher's single installer for the classic editions, not a promise that every feature is free.
What it offers
- Manage contacts alongside calendar appointments, tasks, notes and email.
- Schedule recurring and multi-day appointments with reminders and contact associations.
- Track recurring tasks; paid editions add subtasks and Gantt-chart printing.
- Write HTML-formatted notes; paid editions add voice recording and note-content encryption.
- Use multiple email accounts with POP3, SMTP and IMAP support.
Good to know
- The Free edition excludes global search, attachments, subtasks and synchronization, according to the publisher's edition comparison.
- Network data sharing and data-access-right controls are Business-edition features.
- The publisher's screenshot shows demo data from August 2024; it illustrates the interface, not a verified capture of version 18.76.
